Roman Catholic nuns are on a 9-state bus tour to protest the House Republican budget, which cuts federal dollars to food pantries, shelters, schools, and hospitals.

Okay, I know that the Catholic Church does not have the best record on women (okay, maybe they have the worst), but I adore nuns. Growing up in Catholic Church, the only part I liked about it were the nuns. They are the most kind and loving women, the most selfless women I have ever met.
Harp on the Catholic Church all you want, but don’t talk shit about nuns. Nuns are awesome.
^^^ Absolutely. I went to Catholic Boarding School for high school and the administration was 3 nuns. Sister’s Christine, Claire, and Carlotta. They were kind, passionate about education, and a loving presence for all of us. I have some serious nun love.
Last night, Rachel Maddow made a comment about how nuns are the last people she would want to mess with, and I have to agree with her.
I disagree wholeheartedly with 99% of the shit the Roman Catholic Church hierarchy does and supports, but I have nothing but respect for these women who choose to dedicate their lives to serving others.
I have never met a nun that espouses the hate typically held by those entrenched in the Catholic church. And I stand with these nuns.
At one point I wanted to BE a nun, partly because they were always the nicest people.
